Suicide Prevention


If you are aware of a young person who has suicidal thoughts e.g.



It is important that you seek help to ensure the young person’s wellbeing  and safety.


Things you can do to help include:



You can also speak to a member of the CAMHS Duty Team in your Local CAMHS Office.


If there are any safeguarding or child protection issues, you will need to share your concerns with the young person and contact Social Services to make a child protection referral.


Most parents / carers of the young person would want to know about their son / daughter’s thoughts so that they can help keep them safe.
